About
WE ARE ALL MADE OF STORIES …
My name is Courtney Congjuico and I’m a well-seasoned global marketing leader, strategic partner and communications specialist. Born and raised in the humble suburbia of Central New Jersey, it's hard to pinpoint where exactly my passion for the worlds of marketing, PR and the media industry started. Was it my first punk rock show and mosh pit experience, which eventually led to a college internship at a music PR agency that worked with bands that I idolized growing up? Perusing through my favorite magazines, subtly stalking mastheads and collaging my walls? My obsession with social media platforms such as Myspace, Xanga, Tumblr and LiveJournal before the word “influencer” became a part of our everyday vernacular? It might have been a combination of everything, but all I knew was that I wanted to work in an industry that allowed me to experience the best of the best that culture had to offer: music, film and entertainment, fashion, food and beverage, action sports, advertising, business, travel, hospitality and technology. I wanted to soak up everything and anything that was relevant, innovative and interesting and luckily for me, I found it through being a part of marketing, PR and communications teams.
Fast forward years later where I've now garnered 13+ years combined agency, in-house and media experience under my belt. I’ve held a robust set of marketing leadership roles in dynamic and fast-paced media environments in New York City, leading, strategizing and executing full 360° marketing campaigns from start to completion and delivering top-tier results for some of the largest brands and media companies in the world. My most recent role as Associate Director, Global Marketing at Condé Nast propelled me to generate growth across all brand OKRs and KPIs: generating outsized revenue, subscriptions, memberships and year-over-year growth. I’ve also held crucial roles during my tenure at Inc. and Adweek, being a formative team member that helped build these marketing departments from the ground up and spearheading everything from brand storytelling and communications, custom content creation, RFP ideation and public relations for these esteemed legacy publications.
Clients that I've served in the past include a variety of blue-chip accounts such as Microsoft, Nike, PepsiCo, Simon Malls, Polaroid Originals alongside independent labels like Kinfolk, 13 Bonaparte, People Footwear, YORK Athletics, BLUNT Umbrellas, Alps & Meters, Time & Oak and more. Beyond events, brands and product launches, I’ve worked with everyone from musicians to politicians, designers and corporate PR teams, editors, bloggers, stylists and photographers. As a passion project on the side, I was a dedicated press and events team member of Banana Magazine, a print magazine dedicated to Asian contemporary culture. Alongside my full-time gig, I was also selected to be a founding member of Mansueto Ventures’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, which prioritized DEI efforts for Inc. and Fast Company. I believe diverse voices in the media are needed now more than ever–paving the way for a better, brighter future for new and original storytelling.
At this point in my career, I’m looking to bring my well-honed marketing expertise, PR-savvy and strong interpersonal communication skills to any project or campaign that I work on to ensure that it makes an impactful moment and tells a story to remember in our culture today. Let's work together!
